Where is the ‘Open in a new window’ option? (or, at the minimum, the instructions on how to enable/force this site-wide?

Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry to disagree, but I had found a way somewhere in a Google search, had it working fine for a month, then accidentally trashed the site and have forgotten how/can’t find the answer again. I think it was via the code editor. Old articles refer to the default-widgets-php file which no longer exists. I’ve also tried the jquery code but that does not work. Am sure it will come to me. Thanks anyway

Finally found the link in my browser history. Latest WP has 4 instances of href, not the 2 referred to in the article, so I changed them all. Also note, the quotes are single (target=’_blank’) not the usual ” (trap for old html players like me)

You do understand that this is the WordPress.COM support forum don’t you? And you do know the differences between WordPress.com blogs on this multiuser blogging platform and WordPress.org installs, right? http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
We WordPress.COM bloggers don’t have access to Directory Structure and cannot access and edit default-widgets.php.
You need to post to the WordPress.ORG support forum for help with that site you refer to because it is not hosted by WordPress.COM. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
