Order cancellation

  Hello,

  I just ordered a domain registration for a value of 19 €. But this by mistake.
  I wish to cancel the order made a few minutes ago.

  Hi there,

  I can definitely cancel the domain subscription for you and issue a refund.

  So that we are on the same page, once you decide to cancel your domain, there is no guarantee that you will be able to reacquire it in the future. Someone else could gain access to it.

  If you want to keep using your domain but you don’t want to use WordPress.com anymore, you don’t have to cancel it. Instead, you can move the domain to another site

  Hello,

  Thank you for your valuable information.

  Indeed, I no longer want to use WordPress but SquareSpace. I tried to change my site domain but without success. WordPress asks me to wait 60 days apparently. Would it be possible to do it now?

  If this is not the case, I would actually like to confirm my order cancellation.

  Cancellation should really be considered a permanent solution. It sounds like you want to use the domain still, and in that case I don’t suggest cancelling it.

  The domain does need to be 60 days old in order to be eligible for transfer. That’s an internet-wide rule that is not unique to just WordPress.com.

  Instead of transferring though, you can point the domain to the new hosting service instead. That will achieve the same effect. When a visitors goes to the URL they see the specific hosted version of the site that you want (Square Space).
