Order/Reordering page sequence

  TWO SUGGESTIONS:

  1. A option/button as an easy way to turn posts into pages. (or vice versa). I had to copy and paste and it gets very confusing!
  2. An option/or graphic grid to enable an easy order/reorder of pages by dragging and dropping. At present it’s a nightmare. Even just an ability to SEE ALL the page numbers at once would help?

  Apologise if this has been mentioned before but it seems an obvious need.

  1. Although this is something that has to be done once in a while, it is really not a good idea once the post or page has been published because the URL structure will change. If the search engines have indexed that post or page and you then move it, then the old URL will return 404 errors at the search engines and they don’t like those very well. Too many of those and they could quit indexing your site.

  2. The old way of doing menus will soon be completely eclipsed by the new custom menu feature and it has drag and drop. Unfortunately the theme you are using does not yet support custom menus in the top navigation, but all themes do have a custom menu widget for inclusion in the sidebar.

  You’re welcome. And in that link, check out the current themes that support the custom menu in the top navigation position under “additional information.” You might find a theme you like there that supports it.
