organizing blog posts in different folders at the top of the blog page
-
Hey all, hope you are doing well (: I am stuck on how to organize my blog posts without a plugin (so in other words, for free). There is a separate tab for ‘travels’ for example, for which we have posted 2 posts and we have posted one post for the ‘about us’ tab. But however, they are all (3) coming up mixed together under the ‘travels’ and I don’t know how to delete the blog post– about us– that is currently in the traveling tab!
I did not know how to even put any blog posts in the traveling section so I added a block and added blog posts — which I understand is just posting all of the recent blog posts, hence the mixing of them…
Maybe if there is a way to pick and choose which blog post goes where that will fix the problem? However, I cannot seem to find this out either!
Is there a way to do this without a plugin?

Hi,
It seems like you may need to put your posts into categories.

You also may want to create a site menu if you have not done so already.

Both of the above do not require a plugin.

This will tell you how to edit and delete posts.

Hi Ryrhino00,
Thank you!
Yes, as it seemed I was confusing pages and posts because they are similar in editing!
So one question remains: do I have to have a page where all are the blogs are automatically posted — all jumbled together? And then from there create different Categories and have different blog posts go to their retrospective Categories?Or do I not need this page with all of the blogs together? Or is this not needed but recommended for most blogs to have this type of combining page?
Thank you!

Hi,
Would you please share your site URL so I can look at what you are asking. I don’t quite understand what you mean by jumbled. Please explain.
do I have to have a page where all are the blogs are automatically posted
do you mean post when you wrote the word blog?
The page that people see when they view your blog should be a list of posts that you have written with the newest one on top. That is the way I have seen most blogs that people have written.
The other option you have is to make a static page.
