Over-riding password for new user – no longer working

    I’ve been adding new users to a society’s website, and suddenly the password dialog box has changed.
    (1) It used to show the randomly-generated password, which I would then type over, but now it just shows dots, and the ‘hide password’ won’t toggle
    (2) it used to have two boxes underneath the password dialogue box (i) Override weak password and (ii) email subscriber, now it only has the second one.

    It’s working fine for the website administrator, but not me. We haven’t changed anything.

    I don’t know who hosts it (I’m just helping out and didn’t set it up), but I imagine it would have a wordpress extension if you did, so I’ll try that other forum.
