own blog not appearing under My Blogs after adding group managed blogs

  Hi,

  I have a personal account for quite some time now. Over the years I added 2 group managed blogs to my profile.

  The problem is, my personal blog is now missing from the My Blogs menu. I even searched through all my personal mails (gmail and yahoo) in case its registered under a different username and password but no…it was all combined to one WordPress account. I searched from the Manage Blogs menu but it was not hidden.

  I tried looking for support but they’re not available until 1st March and advised that I post it here.

  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

  Preferably, I would like to manage the blogs by my account, but if its not an option anymore then please tell me how to delete the blog and I will re-create it.

  If you delete a blog that URL is gone forever and can not be reused even by you – so deleting any blog is not a good idea.

  You should be able to move blogs between accounts there is guidance in the Support Documents section. I am not real familiar with the shuffle between accounts, but I worked with some blogs that are on multiple accounts.

  Without the exact URL of the blog in question, starting with http, we cannot help you.

  Can you give us the URL of your missing WordPress.com blog, starting with http:// ?

  If the blog was public, can you find it online or in Google’s cache?

  Perhaps the simplest thing is to just register a new blog under “My Blogs” (which will assign it to your current username) and go from there.

  Justjennifer,

  I can find it online alright, but i just cant manage it anymore.

  If I try to register a new blog under “My Blogs”, I still wont be able to put http://huddin.wordpress.com/ since its already taken. Tried it anyways but returned an error “Sorry that account already exsits”.

  Advise?

  If you were the only administrator of that blog, it should still show up under your “My Blogs”.

  I’ve just tagged this thread so that Staff will look in. Hopefully they will be able to correct the situation for you.
