Oxygen Theme Transperency Issue

    Im using the the theme OXYGEN in a wordpress.com hosted blog (edutelligence.wordpress.com) and it looks ok. When I use it on a hosted wordpress blog (lzuniga.com) there are issues with the background being colour being transparent.

    There are also some issues with the main menu; hosted theme should be in lower case, but the heading is all caps, as well as some other pages do not appear (see edutelligence.wordpress.com to see what it should look like.)

    Oxygen theme is latest .3 version and I also tried older .2.2 version that appears to be used by wordpress.com.

    Hosted wordpress theme is latest as of yesterday (September 16, 2012)

    Any help appreciated.
