  As recommended I have downloaded w3-total-cache.2.2.9.zip
  Currently I have WP-Optimize – Clean, Compress, Cache – I understand that I need to remove this first and then install the w3…
  Getting this information is as far as I have come. I’m too inexperienced to follow some of the directions for this change.

  Problem solved. Cache had been turned off and is back on now.
