Page layout and tags not available on page properties

  I have some students creating basic websites through WordPress.com (free hosting). Some of them are having a weird behaviour because when they create a new page the page layout and tags are not available in the page properties. Other students do not face this issue and they are using the same theme.

  Any ideas on what might be happening here?

  I don’t have a screenshot of my student’s website, but here is a screenshot of what I can see for any page I create in my website: https://snipboard.io/wFfS8Z.jpg. My students are using the same theme, but they don’t see the page layout property at the right side, and therefore they are not able to change the layout of a page.

  Hello again, thanks for the screenshot. Again, it would be helpful to know the addresses of the websites involved, including yours. :)

  As far as Tags, Pages do not have them; only Posts do. https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/tags/

  The current page layout and the option to change it appears in the Block Editor sidebar after creating a new page with that layout. Do all your students have the Block Editor enabled on their site and have they all chosen the Services page layout?
