Page responsiveness
-
After I mapped my wordpress site (free plan) with Godaddy domain, my website became less responsive and it looks bad on a mobile when I enter my domain name on google. Everything works great on a desktop though. How should I solve this?

Hi there,
That’s because your domain isn’t mapped. Mapping a domain to a WordPress.com site requires that you upgrade to one of our paid plans and add our domain mapping upgrade to the site:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
What you have done is called domain masking. Essentially you’ve created a new website hosted on GoDaddy’s servers, and you’re embedding your WordPress.com site inside an iframe on that site. When you do that it becomes impossible for us to detect the size of the screen on which someone is viewing your site, so we cannot adjust your site to the responsive view.
It can also cause problems with likes, comments and stats, it can prevent some widgets from working correctly, and is causes problems with the “www” version of your site’s address.
The only way to fix it is to properly map the domain to us as explained at the link I gave above.
