Paid Domain

  I have a free WordPress site. Yesterday, I was trying to add a paid domain, and was immediately prompted to sign up for a premium subscription. Is there any way to purchase a domain without signing up for a paid subscription? And if not, can I add that same domain with a personal plan (the cheapest option)? Thanks for your help!

  You need an upgraded plan to add a custom domain (which is included in the price of the plan). The Personal plan will work just fine. To upgrade: https://wordpress.com/plans
