Paid for Audio File Upgrade, Audio Files Not Playing On My Blog
-
Hi, I just yesterday paid $20 for the audio file upgrade to allow me to upload mP3’s, subsequently uploaded them in a player-widget, and they will not play. Can you please look into this for me and fix – or advise if I am doing something wrong in the uploading, otherwise refund my $20? Thanks! I am Phoenicianbard – Chris Robideaux.

They seem to be working just fine for me.
First, make sure that your browser is up to date by visiting http://www.whatbrowser.org/
If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.
If it is, please do these three things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled: http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/
3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

Hi, and thanks for your response. I’m using the latest version of Firefox – 17, and just started using it, so there’s little to nothing in the cache. 3rd party cookies are (were) indeed enabled. I actually just loaded the page in Google Chrome, which I recently stopped using, because it inexplicably muted my audio on several streaming websites – and, oddly ironically, they play on Chrome. I am mystified!
Thx again for your help.

Firefox can’t natively play the MP3 files, it needs Flash to be installed to take care of it. Please make sure that Flash is installed and up-to-date.
