Paid for Domain Mapping it’s not working :(
-
Hi thanks for the help in advanced.
I have a local domain registrar host im hosting my domain through “tobywantz.com”. I contacted my local host and asked them to point my url towards wordpress. They setup the wordpress name servers for me.
Two days ago I paid and added tobywantz.com domain mapping. I set tobywantz.com as my primary domain on wordpress. When I go to tobywantz.com it just says “The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.”
I contacted my local domain host. The guy said everything is setup on their end and my url is pointing to WP servers.
I didn’t think domain mapping would be so complex :P
I contacted wordpress via help message in support but I have not heard anything back as of yet. Thought maybe someone may have some advice for me.
the guy who works for my local registrar said I can have support at wordpress contact him to figure it out.
Thanks,

Sorry but as you have already contacted Staff and presumably there is a support ticket all you can do is wait for them to reply to you .

Yeah I guess I’ll just have to wait :( I’m assuming its a server side issue that I have no control over. I guess I was hoping a support member would see the post.
thanks

Your nameservers are still not showing as pointing to wordpress.com. This from: http://www.whois.net/whois/tobywantz.com
Name Server: NEWFRONTIERS.NFIS.COM
Name Server: SPIDER.NFIS.COMThey need to point at:
ns1.wordpress.com
ns2.wordpress.com
ns3.wordpress.comCheck with your registrar and make certain they are correct.

Thanks, that’s funny the dude said they were changed. I’m going to copy and paste your post to my domain registrar.. I didn’t even think of checking into it the way you did. Thanks for the help…
