Paid for domain name but nothing came out?
-
Hey there, I signed up on wordpress.com and opted for my own domain name for US$18 a year. I filled in the form and even my banking details and the site kept redirecting me to this page where it said “This Webpage has a redirect loop” and there are two tabs which said”reload” and “more”. I kept reloading but its still the same page. I even deleted my cookies but nothing seemed to happen. So far, there is only jasminesurayachin.wordpress.com. I paid for jasminesurayachin.com but nothing came out. Please help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
When you register a new custom domain, it can take 48-72 hours for the new domain to begin working everywhere. Sometimes you will end up with a redirect loop on your computer, but I can assure you that your new domain is working on my end here:
Website addresses are stored on your computer in a “DNS cache” so browsers can load websites faster. Sometimes when a change is made to a site’s address, such as setting up a new domain for your site on WordPress.com, the previous address is stored on your computer, and you can’t load the website at the same domain.
If you’d like, you can force it to update by “flushing” your computer’s DNS cache. You can find instructions on how to flush your DNS cache here:
http://www.whatsmydns.net/flush-dns.htmlHowever, even if you don’t flush the DNS cache yourself, it should update by itself and start working for you in the next couple days. Please let me know if you have any questions about that!

Hi Rachel,
Thank you so much for your reply. I tried clicking on to the link, and even tried typing http://www.jasminesurayachin.com. They kept saying “This webpage has a redirect loop”. I have been trying for the past two weeks but it is still the same.
I feel pretty lost at the moment as I have paid everything but I still cannot log in.
Thanks a lot for your reply.

Hi there,
I’m so sorry you’re still having trouble with this. Can you try restarting your modem and router? It’s possible that your blog’s old address is being cached (saved) there, which would cause this redirect loop. If that doesn’t work, you may need to contact your ISP and ask them to flush their DNS cache, too.
Please let me know if you continue to have trouble with that!
