  I want to purchase the plan. I can pay $8 monthly but not $96 from one purchase. I need to be assured that the $8 will be monthly deducted from my bank account

  I’m afraid there are no monthly payment plans at WordPress.com. Upgrades need to be paid for annually (or for 2 years) in advance.
