Paid Upgrade Not working with photo!
-
I upgraded my blog and it won’t allow my photo to show up saying 100% is used when IT IS NOT! Fix this. I didn’t pay an extra $100 a year for nothing!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
Can you check how big the image is that you’re trying to upload? If it’s over 1GB, it’s likely just too big for our system.
Can you take a screenshot of the error message when you get it? If you can’t upload the screenshot to your Media Library, you can use snag.gy or Dropbox to share it.

I don’t know if anyone at Word Press knows what is going on but I asked this question: I upgraded my blog and it won’t allow my photo to show up saying 100% is used when IT IS NOT! Fix this. I didn’t pay an extra $100 a year for nothing!
I was told by shawnajroberts on the staff that my photo might be to large. Not so. I’ve already put it on over 60 separate times. The problem is WordPress is still thinking I ran out of space even after I paid $100 to upgrade the space. When I try to put in a photo it says on a green background 100% which means no space is available which is UTTER nonsense. It worked twice after I paid the $100 and now quit. Is there a human being at wordpress that I can talk to one the phone and resolve this?? HELP!! -
Reply, It is not too big because I used it 60 times before and it was never rejected. Then I upgraded for $100and it worked twice and then quit allowing the photo. No human being is available to talk to on Word Press
via telephone so help it mostly hidden. I resent the fact that I upgraded to include enough space for more than
120 more posts which it allows but rejects my DEAN’S LIFE LIFTERS heading.
Help before I cancel the $100 on my credit card.
Thanks, I hope. -
Hi there!
I can assure you that I’m a real person and I’m here to help you out!
It looks like you successfully uploaded an image about an hour ago. I can see it in your Media Library here:
https://deanslifelifters.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.php
I also want to let you know that you can reuse an image that you’ve already uploaded. You do not need to upload the same image more than once. Here’s some information about using an image you’ve already uploaded to the Media Library:
I want to do some testing, so could you tell me whether you’re uploading through the Media Library, through the Add Media button in the editor, or through dragging and dropping an image into your post?
The “100%” over a green bar usually mean that the image has successfully uploaded, not that you’re out of space.
Looking forward to your reply!

When I first added an image to a post I clicked on me post. Then it said insert photo. It worked for a long time then instead of inserting a photo a 100% appeared in the insert photo rectamgle and
No image was inserted. I searched around. For 15 minutes and finally found words “ad
Media ” which showed me dozens of my photo Dean’s Life Lifters. I clicked on it and it added the photo that the “Insert Photo” would not add. What a complicated mess. -
I just tested the way you explained and was able to upload an image without any issue. It’s possible that your internet connection is having difficulty. If you’re using a laptop, could you try from another network such as a local coffee shop or library?
Like I said before though, since that image is already uploaded, you don’t need to keep adding it the way you’ve been doing. You can just go to Add Media and select one of the versions you’ve already uploaded. This will also save space on your account.
Did you check out the directions I linked to above? They’ll give you some more information about inserting media into your posts.
Also, if you have a chance, a screenshot of the 100% your seeing would be really helpful. Here are some tips for taking a screenshot:
-
When I click on new post and put the text in nothing there says add media. To do that I have to save the post and then seek to edit it and it gives me a lot of computer jargon with add media at the top of the screen. Then I click add media and it gives me the list of photos from which select one. I should be able to add the photo without first saving it and then editing it later. “Add Media should be right on the same page where I add a new post instead of it showing insert photo which doesn’t work. How can I find “Add Media” when first posting it instead of having to edit after I’ve saved it? What should be simple is complicated by poor design.

I’m not using a lap top. I’m using Mac OS X full sized screen version 10.7.5. Everything worked fine doing a new post and using the “insert photo” until I upgraded. Then the “insert photo” doesn’t work anymore.

Hi there,
I’m sorry this is getting so frustrating. Would you like if I could show you a screencast of how you should be able to add media to your site?
I can create it and let me know it’s working differently for you.
Let me know and I’d be happy to create it using your Dashboard.
Thank you!
