Paid WordPress Site was De-Activated by Host (not WordPress) and now Can’t Login

    We manage a WordPress website for a client. This site was infected with Malware so our host de-activated the site until we were able to remove all of the infected files. Now that it is done, they re-activated the site but it lost all of the design we did and we can no longer login to this account. Please let me know how we can get back in to this site.

    Hi mattbaseline,

    If the site used WordPress but wasn’t hosted by WordPress.com, it means you were using self hosted WordPress.org software:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    Your host will be the best people to contact for help as they may be able to provide a backup of the site or content before it was infected with Malware.

    The WordPress.org support forums are also a great resource for help with self hosted sites:
