Parked Domain

I wanted to transfer my domain to another hosting site but prematurely canceled my site here and now the domain is ‘parked’ I need help restoring the domain to transfer

Hi there,
Of what domain are you speaking? The account you’re using to post here has never owned any domains on WordPress.com, and was in fact created only four minutes before you posted this forum thread.
We can only restore a cancelled domain to the same account that originally owned it.

Thanks for your response. The domain in question is longleafearthworks.com. Yes, you’re correct, I canceled my account ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) on word press which in hindsight was a mistake. I was only trying to transfer hosting. I created a new account because after canceling I could not get back into my last account and had no ability to communicate with wordpress. We have sent an e-mail to have the old account reactivated to no avail. I don’t know if you can help me reactivate the last account? I have made a big mess.

Hi there,
We have already replied to the email you have sent us via the @longleafearthworks.com email address with instructions on how to restore your account. Please follow up there.
Thanks!

I think I am in a catch 22 because the domain is parked that email address needs to be verified and we can’t log in to verify so emails are not coming through.
Are there any other options?

Please double check all of your email accounts, including the spam folders for the note from us. Try using a search parameter, “WordPress.com”. Let me know if that helps.

I have checked all the accounts. Unfortunately, we are unable to even send mail from the account or any account linked to the domain. In order to recover the email from the account we need to update the account information in the wordpress account. However, we cant do that with out following steps on the e-mail account we can’t access. Thus the catch 22 persists.
Is there any other options for recovery? Are you able to send instructions to another email so that we can recover the account?
-
Because our website is down all of the email tied to the domain is also down.
Are you able to share the link with the set up information to the phone number on file via SMS?

Hi there,
I see you did actually reply to the account closure email to reverse the account closure before the email address stopped working, so I’ve re-opened that account. You should be able to log back in with your existing password for that account, and then you’ll be able to change the email address to one that you currently have access to.
To restore your domain, longleafearthworks.com, we will need an explicit request from the
infolongleafearthworkscomaccount, so please comment here to confirm once you’re logged back in and we can take care of that for you.But if you want to use that domain somewhere else, you really only need to wait – that domain should be released within the next day or two, and by early next week you should be able to register it anywhere again as a new domain.
There is a very small risk that someone else could register it before you’re able to, so if you’d prefer to restore it to your WordPress.com account, just let us know. We will need to restore your deleted WordPress.com site as well in order to do that.
