Parked Domain

  Hello,
  I recently cancelled my domain to be able to use it on another web host. Now when I try to use the domain it says it is unavailable and on wordpress it says ‘this domain is parked’.

  Is there anything I can do to un-park this domain so that I am able to use it? All of my social media is using this domain/name and I would like to be able to use it as I wish.

  The domain I am trying to use is everydaywithmilly.com

  Hi there,

  Cancelled domains are not released immediately, and it can take anything from a few days to over a year before a cancelled domain becomes available again, if at all. You should never cancel a domain that you still want to use, as there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to use it again somewhere else in future. You should only cancel a domain if you’re completely sure you no longer want it at all.

  We can still restore the domain to your account at this point, after which we can help you point it to the host where you want to use it. After you’ve owned the domain for at least 60 days you’ll be able to transfer it away from us completely if you prefer.

  Otherwise the domain will only become available again in a few weeks’ time after it has passed through the redemption period at the registry that controls it. We have no way to release the domain sooner, and without it going through redemption first.

  Please confirm if you want us to restore the domain.
