  I would like to set a user name and password in my home page. Can you please tell me if their is a way to do this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Or are you looking to password protect your site so that only specific people can use it?

  This can be done for the whole site:

  Or for individual posts/pages:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-visibility/

  Or are you aiming to set up a site where you allow other people to register username accounts and passwords?

  If that’s your aim, you cannot do that on a WordPress.COM hosted blog. For that you need to hire a webhost http://wordpress.org/hosting and set up a WordPress.ORG install.
