  I need clear cut instructions on how to change my password, as it appears as though someone who was doing webmaster work for me is behaving in a manners that lack credibility.

  Hi there,

  To update your WordPress.com account password, just go to Security settings and enter the new password.

  Change or Reset Your Password

  That said, you haven’t accessed this WordPress.com account in years, and you don’t own any sites with us, so I’m going to guess you’re not asking about this WordPress.com account.

  If you’re referring to your admin account on a stand-alone WordPress website, please ask for help in the WordPress.org forums instead. We have no control over those sites, and cannot help you here:
