  I am not getting the reset password link in my email when trying to get a new password

  When the reset email doesn’t arrive, it’s almost always one of three things:

  • Spam, junk, or promotions folder. Reset mail gets filtered there often. Search the whole mailbox for “wordpress.com” in case a filter rule swept it somewhere unexpected.
  • The email or username at the reset screen doesn’t match what’s on file. If you’ve used more than one address over the years, try each.
  • Your provider is silently blocking WordPress.com mail. Outlook, adding the wordpress.com domain to safe senders usually clears it.

  If none of those help, try the Email me a login link option on the login page. If it doesn’t the Account Recovery form is the next step. It lets the WordPress.com support team verify your identity another way and restore access without needing the email at all.
