password protect a downloadable file using individual passwords

  I have a pdf file that I want to make available to some of my readers to download. I would prefer not to have one generic password. I have password protected the page with the link to the pdf and that is OK but all the permitted users use the one password. Can I create a unique username and password for each person to download my pdf?

  Hi there,

  There isn’t a way to make an individual page password-protected with different passwords for each user. However, you can create a private blog and require each person to log in to their WordPress.com account to access the private blog.
