password protected page does not accept password

Hallo, I have problems with password-protected pages. I change Visibility to “Password protected”, enter a password but when the page asks me for a password and I enter it in, the page just refreshes and again asks for a passord.
From time to time I manage to succesfully enter the password once. But when I then open the page in a different browser (or on mobile), the page again does not accept the password and just refreshes.
I noticed this when using Eram theme, red many forums which suggested to uninstall all plugins. So I gradually uninstalled all plugins incl. Eram theme. I also reseted the whole WordPress (v. 5.0.2) via “WordPress Reset” plugin, now I use the basic Twenty Nineteen theme and the situation is still the same. The password protected page is http://petrkonig.com/ppp/ password is ppp but does not work.
Do not know what else to do (I am not IT expert to start playing with databases or so). Please can you help me make it work?
Thank you and Merry Chrismass and all the best for the next year.
    petr

Hi there, it looks like your above site is using the standalone WordPress software hosted on 3rd party web hosting and not hosted here on WordPressdotcom.

For help with your WordPress site, you’ll want to head over to the documentation and forums at https://wordpress.org/support where they will have more experience with the type of issue you are having.

Just to clarify, you’ve posted in the support forums for websites hosted on WordPressdotcom. WordPressdotcom (where we are ) and WordPress are different entities with separate documentation and forums. You can learn more in our support guide at https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Best wishes for a quick resolution and happy holidays.
