Password protected page issues

I have one password protected page. When I share the URL and case-sensitive password with people, there are times when the password works and then times when it doesn’t work. When the password doesn’t work, the password box clears but no error message.
Copy/paste vs manually type doesn’t seem to matter. Brower doesn’t seem to matter. Private vs normal window doesn’t matter. What am I doing wrong that only sometimes the password lets people in?

Can you share the URL of your website?
I’m not seeing any WordPress.com sites associated with the user account you are posting from. This frequently means that you have a site using the open-source WordPress software from WordPress.org, but hosted elsewhere.
