password protected post is not

  I have a post that I’ve set a password on, and yet when I log out of wordpress to view the blog, I see the entire contents of the post. The title of the blog post even reflects “Protected: Update for 3 March 2009”. So what gives?

  That is because your computer saved the cookie that you got when you set the password. If you try from another computer, or you clear your cookies, you’ll see the password protection still works.
