Password protected posts and searching for bloggers

  Hi,

  I am trying to access a blog but it says it is password protected and I need to log in, so I put in my WP login details but the page just refreshes telling me to log in again. Do I need a different password to access this blog that was chosen by the blogger or what?

  Also, is it possible to search for blogs by author? I know my friend has a WP blog, but the search function doesn’t seem to include author names…. advice?

  If the blogger has not given you the password for the protected post, then you cannot view it.

  You will have to contact them and see if they will give you the password.

  Use Google to search by author such as the below (without the quote marks):

  “site: wordpress.com authorname”
