Password Protected Site

    Hello,

I am building a website for my second grade classroom and I want it to be private; however, I’m running into a dilemma.

I want it to be privately accessed without my parents needing to make an account.
    AND
I want one password to enter the site as a whole and not each individual page. Needing a password to enter each individual page seems like way too much of a hassle.

Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m afraid what you’re wanting to do isn’t possible on WordPress.com (and I’m doubtful if you could even achieve what you want with a self hosted site using the WordPress.org software). People can be given permissions to view a private site but they would need to create WordPress.com accounts (which only takes a moment) to do so: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
However I have added the modlook tag to ask a member of staff to reply to you.

  • Hi there,

As @themagicrobot already said, that’s not possible.

You can, however, create a WordPress.com account for your parents and give them the username and password. Once they’re logged in they’ll stay that way until they log out or clear their browser’s history.
