Password Protected visibility

  Can people who don’t have the password see that a post still exists as well as the name of the post? Also, if I publish a password protected post will that be emailed to all of my followers like normal posts would?

  If you have created a password protected post, the post is only accessible to those readers who have the password. However, email subscribers whom you did not provide the password to will receive the notification though they cannot view the original post without the password. There is no way to prevent the email notification going out.

  It’s not a loophole. if the password page wasn’t visible, nobody could put the password in. The page will be visible on your blog too.
