Password protecting a post

  Sorry if this has been asked 1000 times before! I want to password protect a page so that only people who I give the password to can see it and review it before it goes live. I have protected the page, but even if I log off and open a new browser window I can still see it. If I make it private nobody at all can see it. The page even says protected at the start of the title, but it isn’t. Is this a common problem and does anybody have a solution?

  A post and page are different but both can be password protected (instructions are in the FAQ.)

  To see what someone else will see, you’re right to check without being logged in, but you should also clear your cookies and cache.
