Password recovery blocked because of cookie fault
-
Hi.
I’ve been tasked with taking over the maintenance of a website withing the WP area. This site has a wp-login that now can’t be reached because the last person that maintained it lost the password, and when we try to recover the password we get this error message: ERROR: Cookies are blocked due to unexpected output. For help, please see this documentation or try the support forums.
Does anybody know how to resolve this?
I’m willing to create a new plan and transfer the site to a new account, but then I have to know that the excisting coding on the site will also be transferred
I’ve tried to find contact info directly to WordPress, but that was not at all an easy task..

Oh, I’m afraid we won’t be able to help you here as your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with One.com.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites hosted elsewhere; we can only assist with sites hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:
https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/.If you lost your password or you tried resetting your password and failed, try this Codex article:
https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/.If you still need help, you can look for it at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.
http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.
