Password reset (bought a business with existing website)

  We just bought a business and their website was set up using wordpress but they did write their password down. Is there a way to still take over this site and create a new password? We are trying to update our website and hit a wall.

  What is the address of the site, please?

  If, as I suspect, the site is using the open source WordPress software at another hosting provider, we won’t be able to help with this. In that case you’ll need to contact the hosting provider of the site directly for help accessing the database so you can reset the admin credentials from there.
