Password Resets
-
I’ve gotten a few emails today, one after the other, letting me know that a request was made to reset my password. I can only assume that someone else is doing it, though I’m not sure why they would (other than to annoy me perhaps).
Has anyone else had this issue?

I don’t see anything malicious here, as it looked like they only requested it twice with the last time being 15 hours ago.
My best guess is that someone just made a typo in their username.
When a password is reset, an email is sent with an authorization link to your email address, so if they don’t have access to your email, they can’t reset your password.

Thanks, was just making me nervous watching them come in. If it’d been just one, I would have ignored it, but having it happen twice started me worrying.

You’re welcome!
Generally, twice is normal for someone making a typo on a username. They do it once, wonder why the reset email hasn’t arrived, do it one more time, then they start putting the pieces together.
