Paste plain text not working like it used to?
-
I like to edit my posts in a text editor and then upload them into WordPress. In the plain text I put all of the simple HTML codes that I want (paragraphs, headers, and links). I typically do this by clicking the Paste as Plain Text button, unchecking the Keep linkebreaks button, and inserting the paste.
I just tried this for a new post, and it is not working. The HTML codes are appearing in my post.
Did something change? How can I compose a post off-line and then publish it on WordPress.com?

I’m not aware of anything changing — doesnt mean it hasn’t — but instead of going through all that rigamaroll for pasting, why not just paste directly into the HTML tab of your editor?

When I paste directly into the HTML tab, the newlines are all messed up. It treats every new line from the paste as a hard new-line. So it will insert breaks in the middle of words, etc. I don’t know how to paste with it ignoring newlines.

In your text program, can’t you chose not to use Word Wrap? That should solve the problem.
