Pasting text onto a page on my blog

    I typed a passage for my blog in word and wanted to paste it onto my blog. However when I pasted the passage the text lost its format that I created in Microsoft Word. My question is: How do I keep my same format when I paste? I had the passage in columns on Word but lost the format once I pasted on my blog page.

    Hi,

    The (WordPress.com) Microsoft Word support page says:

    Not all formatting created in a word processor will be reproduced when pasting into WordPress.com’s editor. We’ve found that using Chrome as your browser is the best way to ensure the majority of your formatting transfers over.

    Tables created in MS Word should still paste as tables, but borders may not transfer over. If you need a traditional table, we suggest recreating your tables in HTML.

    Footnotes and other specialized formatting may paste in, but in some cases that formatting will be lost.
