    I purchased the second option wordpress offered thinking it was going to be $10, but i didnt realise i had to pay for the full 12 months, and requested a refund instantly through paypal.

    I was wondering, as I hadnt used the service at all for the time that i had it, which has only been an hour as of this point, i was wondering if its possible to receive a refund.

    Hi,

    WordPress.com has a 30 day refund policy (96 hours for domain registrations) as described here:

    That page also has instructions for canceling and requesting refunds.

    However, it appears that you have filed a dispute with your financial institution over the charge. Once this happens, we are lose the option to process refunds and must wait on the dispute process to play out.

    If you would be willing to cancel the dispute, we will regain the option to refund. But otherwise, you will need to talk to your financial institution for information on timeframe and progress.
