    Why would I give you payment information when the 1st Year’s free? So you can collect the interest on my money for a year… maybe I should Blog about this

    Hi there,

    WordPress.com offers a free plan that is free forever.

    But if you decide to upgrade to a paid plan, you pay from year one. We do not offer a free first year on any of our paid plans, and nowhere on WordPress.com does it say that we do that.

    The only thing we offer for free for the first year is the custom domain included in your plan, but that is subject to buying a plan first.
