    I had paid for a website last year 2021 but the website is no longer in use. I am requesting for reversal of $18 debited from my account

    We’ve found the charge in question. However, the issue is that the site in question is not owned by the WordPress.com user account you are posting from. This typically happens when you’ve ended up with a second WordPress.com user account and that second account is the one that owns the upgrade. You’ll need to log into THAT account in order to make any changes or cancel the charge.

    If you do not have access to that second account, here are a few options:

    Account recovery form – https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

    Hello? I used my card to pay for that domain but it was a once off payment. How can you guys help me out? Your process seems to be complicated because bc I lost the contacts for the person I paid for. Is it advisable that I file charge back request with my bank? Please find below the confirmation and assist

  • Hi there, it looks like you have more than one account here, that’s why you’re unable to refund. :)

    First, log out of WordPress.com at https://wordpress.com/me

    Then, log back in under the correct account.

    If you don’t recall the correct account, you can recover access with that transaction ID: https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#account-recovery-form

    Once you’re logged in under the correct account, you can refund it by following the steps at https://wordpress.com/support/refunds/

    Hello,
    I think I have provided you guys with all the information you might need to do the reversal including the ref number. My request was to reverse the money debited from my card to the account but it seems you don’t have solutions for such apart from you being a well established industry. Being a customer I feel like I have been defrauded for you charging me and not helping me on how to get my money back. Am just gonna let you have the funds for good but let you know that am disappointed in you guys and I can’t even refer any other client to you bc you are untrustworthy and unreliable during the time of need. Thank you for your poor support.

  • We cannot cancel upgrades or refund money just because someone claims that they are the owner.

    You MUST be logged into the account that made the purchase. There are a number of ways that you can get reconnected to that account, most have been shared above. But I would encourage you to take the payment information and enter it in here:

    It is a tool that is made for situations such as this.

    Thanks for the assistance ozmodiar.
    I have managed to login and cancel the domain and also requested for a refund. Please check and let me know how long am gonna get back the money. Also confirm for me whether it will not be auto renewed. I want it completely cancelled to avoid the same issues in future. Thanks

    I can confirm that you canceled your domain and won’t be charged for it again. As for the refund, you should see it in your statement within 10 business days.
