    Trying to find out before I upgrade to a premium account, is there other payment gateways that can be used for a adult content 18+ which could contain nudity between paid subscribers via webcam on my website.

    Thanks for asking before upgrading; it’s a good idea to check compatibility first.

    WordPress.com does permit mature content (nudity, offensive language, mature subject material), but the site must be marked as Mature in our system. That said, there are hard limits on what’s allowed. The following are prohibited:

    • Visual depictions of sexually explicit acts
    • Adult services, including paid webcam or live-chat features
    • Links or ads to adult-oriented affiliate networks or sexually explicit signups
    • Content promoting or advertising erotic services

    Webcam content involving nudity between paid subscribers would fall under adult services, which is not something we can host on WordPress.com regardless of plan level.

    On the payment side, WooPayments (our integrated payment solution, powered by Stripe) also explicitly prohibits adult content and services. This includes pay-per-view and adult live-chat features. Other major processors like PayPal carry similar restrictions, so there is no gateway workaround available on our platform for this type of business.

    If you’re looking to build a simple, non-explicit website that serves as a general landing page or portfolio; that can work here, provided the content on the site itself stays within our guidelines. However, linking directly to adult platforms or signups from your WordPress.com site would also be a policy violation.

    For the use case you’re describing, self-hosted WordPress with a hosting provider that accommodates adult content, paired with a high-risk merchant account, would be a more appropriate path. You can find hosts that support the open-source WordPress software here:
