  I’m in checkout and it’s charging £92. Im assuming that’s for a two year period as it says it’s £4per month. Why am I being asked for two years now?

  What all are you trying to purchase? Currently, I see a WordPress.com Personal subscription (54 GBP), and a Google apps subscription (40 GBP). Were you wanting to purchase both?

  So, starting a website with WordPress.com is free. However, the personal plan will add a custom domain, no ads and other features.

  Were you wanting to add email hosting as well? That is what the Google Apps subscription is for. Otherwise, it will only be 54 GBP for the personal plan.

  So if I use another email address, that doesn’t cost? Can I add later if I want?

  Hi there,

  If you want to use an email that associated with your domain, it will cost, although there are cheaper alternatives to Google apps. You can add the email option at any time.
