PayPal mistake payment

Hi, my PayPal had a standing order of £40, I don’t think it was linked to any services so was wondering if I can have the payment refunded? Thanks

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

Your account doesn’t own any upgrades on WordPress.com, nor on any other Automattic product that I can see, and there’s no recent charges showing in your account. We don’t even have payment information on file for you, and we don’t have any upgrades that cost £40

Are you sure this payment was for WordPress? Is there a payment descriptor with our name on the transaction?

I think it was an automatic payment I set up on my end.
    Seller information
    [redacted]
Wasn’t a charge by you guys but I think I forgot to cancel a standing order or something.

  • Thanks for the information.

That payment was for the renewal of a G Suite subscription on the domain, garaphics.com. That domain expired yesterday, and belongs to the username, garaphics

Does that sound familiar? I can refund the payment for you if you no longer want that subscription. Please confirm.

The transaction ID you provided verifies your ownership of the upgrade, but I would appreciate it if you can also reply in this thread as that username to confirm.

Hi I think I’ve figured it out, totally forgot about this account. If you could please refund the amount discussed that would be great.

    Thanks!

  • I’ve cancelled and refunded the G Suite account. You’ll be receiving an email from Google with instructions how to set up payment with them directly if you want to continue using that account. If you want to let it expire completely you can just ignore that email.

The domain, garaphics.com, is still on your account. It does not have auto-renew active, so you won’t be charged for its renewal and it will be removed in about 30 days. You still have a few days left to renew the domain on your own. After that you’ll need our help to renew it, and if you change your mind past 30 days from now there will be an additional fee to renew it.

On the other hand, if you’re absolutely sure you don’t want that domain any more, I can also cancel it and remove it from your account. Just let me know.
