PayPal widget

  I want to add a PayPal donate button to my widgets, but when I paste in the URL from PayPal into the appropriate text widget field, nothing happens; only the code appears when I view my home page. WordPress wants to direct me to my media library, but I followed WordPress instructions on importing the PayPal button and URL in a post. I do not want the post with the donate button published; by itself it would make no sense to my readers. It needs to be in the navigation.

  Posting it into a Text widget is roughly the same instructions as http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/

  If you want to do it that way, try building it in the post editor first, then copy the final code from the HTML editor tab and paste it into the Text widget.

  Alternatively, an Image widget might be easier to use in this case.
