PDF button javascript breaks when embedded
-
I have a pdf form I have built so that the form can be filled with a pre-set selection of images from a second pdf file. The areas that fill with images are built as buttons with a javascript. However, when I embed the pdf into my page, the text fill functionality is maintained but the buttons do not work. Any suggestions?

You can’t use javascript nor the embed code on a free wordpress.com website. To do so you must upgrade to the Business plan.

I did embed the pdf into the free wordpress.com website. I can do this both by directly embedding the HTML from a Google Drive document and as a media file, the latter of which maintains the text fill modality. It is only the javascript written in the pdf that does not seem to function once the pdf is embedded. If the pdf is downloaded from the site, the javascript in the button of the pdf still works.

Hi there!
As @staartmees mentioned above, it’s not possible to add JavaScript code on plans lower than Business. This is because of security measures. Business sites undergo a series of structural changes to allow that, and that is why you’d need Business plan to do that:
