  https://wordpress.org/plugins/pdf-embedder/ this page is misleading. It says that I can still have a pdf embedder on my page, and then when I attempt to download it from the plugins it says I need a premium account. Is there a way for me to have PDFs displayed on my website without having visitors directed to a new link? This is for a class which the assignments are to be displayed on the webpage directly.

  The plugin pdf-embedder is a wordpress.org plugin. Your site http://esfplaceculturedesign.wordpress.com/ is made on the wordpress.com platform. If you want to upload a plugin, you must upgrade to the Business Plan.
