People try to follow one of my blogs but end up following the other one
-
Hi.
I operate 2 blogs under my Id. The second one I started is the one I now usually blog under and it is receiving a good following, but I notice that the first (and now little used) blog is getting follows from people who I KNOW are wanting to follow the second blog.
I discovered a few weeks ago that I could change the ‘Primary Blog’ status button, and I did this but the problem persists.
I have a ‘Follow’ widget in my sidebar and this correctly shows the number of followers I have, but I think what is happening is that people are clicking on the little ‘Follow’ thingy that appears down at the bottom right of the screen as one scrolls a blog page, and my suspicion is that this thingy is deferring to my first blog rather than the blog being viewed at the time (which is now the Primary blog).
Can anyone please advise me how to correct this situation so that my Primary blog gets followed correctly?
ThanksThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
Your Follow button in the side of Tish (https://transgendertish.wordpress.com/) is working correctly, if you intend it to add a follower to that site. I just tested it. However, your forum profile indicates that http://tishwolfsong.wordpress.com is your primary site.

You can change the primary site on the account at Account Settings or at Personal Settings.

Ahhhh, ok, terminology being the bringer of all evil ….
The Primary Blog was set, but I’ve changed the Web Address in my profile now, so we’ll see if that makes a difference.
Of course, if it works ok now for the transgendertish blog it’ll be screwed up for the tishwolfsong blog …
So wish things could be easy.
Thanks Doc :) -
