Personal Privacy

I am trying to remove photo content of me from various WordPress blogs. The images were taken 9 years ago when I used to model. I want to move on from that time and remove the images, but because they are so old and on fashion blogs no one uses anymore, I can’t get anywhere. I reach out, and get no replies. Some of them don’t even have emails to reach out to. I’ve had success with so many other sites, though. The photographers removed the photos from their sites at my asking, yet they remain on WordPress. I know removing content from the internet is tricky business, but there has to be something, as it is my face and all. They didn’t get explicit content to post it, either, and are violating copyright, but it’s not my copyright to claim… just my face, image, and name. What can I do?

  • Hi –

It can take some time for the images to completely fall out of the cache system even after they’re deleted from an individual site. Can you send me a link to where you’re still seeing a previously deleted image? I can nuke those out completely for you.

As far as the remaining images. We can’t just delete them. You’ve done the right thing by trying to reach the site owners. The only other option would be to file official report to us through https://en.support.wordpress.com/report-blogs/
