Personal Professional Blog – was Premium the best way to go?

I want to make my blog more professional and integrate adsense but I am reading that because my blog is hosted by wordpress, I cannot install plugins. Is that correct and if so what was the benefit of going premium, which I just did? I purchased the domain from godaddy should I also host it through godaddy and buy a professional theme? I would like the option to have a nice blog and include plugins and adsense. If you can tell me how to do that, it would be amazing. Thank you!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

Uploading your own plugins and using Adsense are not options here at WordPress.com, but you can use them on a self-hosted blog using the free WordPress.org software. You can read more about the differences between the two here: WordPress.com and WordPress.org

However, there are many plugins and extra features built right in to WordPress.com, and we offer our own ad program that you can learn more about here: http://wordads.co/

In addition, with the WordPress.com Premium upgrade you purchased, you get the following upgrades:

If that’s not what you’re looking for, and you’d prefer to set up a site hosted at GoDaddy with the WordPress.org software, I can cancel and refund your Premium purchase. You can also cancel it yourself for a full refund from Store > My Upgrades in your blog’s dashboard.

Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)
