  I am in the process of signing up for a personal website package with WordPress, but I have a question about the domain. Do I get a customizable domain name with WordPress for the personal option, or does the domain include ‘wordpress.com’ in it? For example, I want it to be something like johnsmith.com, not johnsmith.wordpress.com. When I go to the payment option it tells me that my personal page will have the domain name johnsmith.wordpress.com, but it also says that johnsmith.com, which is normally $18, is included in my $2.99 per month plan. Which domain name do I actually get if I buy the personal plan? Thanks in advance for any help!

  Each WordPress.com plan comes with free domain credit which you can use to register your first domain.
  Yes, Personal plans include free domain credit.
  Once you upgrade your plan you will be able to see free domain credit claim option.

  You get your website name without ending with .wordpress.com
