Photos

Hello.
I just found out that several photos has been removed from my blog, Innsynskrav til begjær, posted on April 1st.
This was documentation on dialogue with authorities, which was provided via access requirements, i.e. publicly available information.
What happened to my photos? Cannot find them in my photo data base either. Has someone reported them?
Thank you in advance for ansver.
Best regards Aina E.N.

All7 the missing photos had a temporary URL from Google search results.
To use photos on a wordpress.com site, you must upload them into your media library.

Hi there,
@staartmees is correct that if the images you’re using are hosted elsewhere, there’s a chance they might become unavailable over time.
I understand your confusion and concern about the missing images. Here’s a bit more clarity on the matter. When you directly insert a photo using a URL from Google search or another site, that image is not stored in your WordPress.com Media Library. Instead, your blog post references the location of the image on the other website. If the image is removed from that location, it will also disappear from your post.
To prevent this from happening in the future, I recommend first downloading the photo and then uploading it to your blog’s Media Library. This way, the photos are saved directly in your own blog, and they won’t disappear even if they’re taken down or moved from their original location.
I’m here to help if you have any more questions or need further assistance.

Also be aware you just can’t use any photo you find on the internet; it can cost you a lot of money, and I really mean a lot of money.
It’s safe to use free photos from pixabay.com, pexels.com, openverse, ..
If you use photos from wikipedia, make sure to give it the right attribution
