Photos no longer load to wordpress

Until recently I had no trouble upload photos or galleries to WordPress. Now I get a message say file type is not supported. I do not believe I changed anything. Any suggestions, I have no idea how to use FTP to resolve the issue as many suggest.

Are you speaking of http://moondanceiv.wordpress.com/? I can see several photos uploaded to that site only yesterday.
Where exactly are you trying to upload photos, what are the steps you’re using to upload them, and what is the type of file you’re trying to upload? The only image file formats that can be uploaded to WordPress.com are .jpg/.jpeg, .png and .gif files:
Unrelated, but I see the images you’ve been uploading are massive. Most of your images are almost 4000px wide, with a 3MB file size. That is way bigger than any standard computer screen can display at full size, never mind any WordPress theme, so you’re just wasting space in your media library.
Before uploading images to the library, make sure to resize them to the size at which they’ll actually be used on your site, or at most to the maximum display size of your theme, which in this case is around 1200px:

Also consider investing in a tool like jpegmini that allows you to further strip down the file size of the image before you upload it. Not only will your media storage last longer before you need to upgrade to get extra space, but your images will load faster for your visitors as well.
